Whether you need a knife or a saw, a file or a can opener, a pocketknife is of help in nearly every situation. Thanks to its versatility, it found a place in our hearts and reached international popularity. So, it quickly became clear that the pocketknife was the right motif for our June calendar page – but how should we realize its various facets?
We took this motif as an inducement to show the versatility of hubergroup’s products with a less common application. Therefore, we decided to print the pocketknife’s tools with cold foil printing. To attach the foil, we used a NewV poly 40UCA2500 cold foil adhesive silver. The challenge was to apply the foil neatly and add the printing ink – our NewV set UEL4000 – on the foil. Afterwards, we added our Acrylac Matt 57M2300 coating on the area patterned with checks, which is shown as background of the pocketknife.
